Phone Marketing Is Not Dead

Phone marketing is and never will be dead… often it is the last resort for many companies only to find out how fruitful it can be.


  1. When calling a prospective client treat them as you want to be treated
  2. Be honest, tell them immediately who you are and why you are calling
  3. Offer them what you think they want and not what you think they need. We all need a fire extinguisher in our kitchen but I don’t want one because I need it. I want one because it can save my children or my wife from serious burns or even death and it will make me feel better.
  4. Hey, Every business needs a website right? But you gotta want one. Why because you believe it’s going to help you financially. You believe it’s going to help supplement your income and make life better for you. Not because you need one for the sake of having a online brochure or just because everybody else has one.
  5. Talk about benefits, “What’s in-it-for-me” is what it’s all about and when you get that busy person on the phone, be sure they understand whats going on immediately.
  6. Don’t be thin skinned. A lot of people out there just don’t have time to speak to you right then so don’t get upset if they say thank you but no thank you….
  7. Ask if you can have 30 seconds of their time… It’s hard for someone to say no to 30 seconds then you’d better have a good question to ask so they can get involved right away. If you try to present anything in 30 seconds or make a sale in 30 seconds you lost already.
  8. It might be a simple, can I send you an email with more information or… “Can I call back when you have more time?, if they say yes, ask for the right time… You’ll get so much farther by showing respect for their time
  9. These are just a few things that work for us time and time again…There are many books available on the subject… take the time and try it out… you still may be pleasantly surprised today..
