UPDATE
SERVICES / PRIORITY UPDATE SERVICES
We are now happy to announce that all clients of Discovery
Towers Multimedia Web Services can now have access to their
own Control Panel for basic updates.
This is a big
step forward for many clients that wish to do their own
immediate updates... Simply log into your control panel via
http://www.yourdomainname.com/cpanel,
insert your username and password and go to "File Manager"
There is a html editor for you to use. If you have no
experience in using an html editor, please contact us for
assistance at 866-643-6310
Special Note:
We
know that many of you would like to do their own updates and
that's very admirable that you want to. However, if you have
never had any experience using a html editor, then we are
not liable for your making a mistake and erasing your
webpage or even website. Although the editor that is
provided is a basic lite editor, if you don't know what you
are doing, you can erase a lot of what we have done for you.
You can delete content unintentionally, you can cause
misalignments and you can even accidentally cause your site
to "Not Work".
So with that said,
We will provide you if you have no previous experience with
a basic walk-through for free. However, if you make a
mistake and we have to get in there and "Fix" what you did,
it's ok...
However there will be a charge of $15 to fix it.
The fee
must be paid in advance before we will go in there and do
any work. The reason for the charge is that more and
more folks are trying to do things themselves but they have
not had the experience and we simply don't have time or the
man power to go in and "Fix" everyone's mistakes.
This is why we provide a

Our
previous "Free Update
Service" that comes with every package is now being changed
to our Regular Free Update (No Fee) service and we
are now introducing a
NEW "Preferred
Client" (Fee Based)
update service.
Often we get a client that will call us or
send an email and request that an update be made "Now
or Immediately" and in some instances we are happy
to accommodate as long as we have the time. However, we have been experiencing a rather
high amount of these kinds of requests...
"Everybody wants there updates immediately and done
yesterday"..
Lets establish some basic GUIDELINES
for All Updates first so we are all on the same page
from now on.. .

All updates must be submitted via email
so there is a clear written record of the request.

All updates must clearly identify the
page you wish to make the update(s) on.

If it is text content, it can be typed
directly in your email letter or you can type it out in
a word doc etc., so we can simply "Copy & Paste"
Images/photos must be sent to us in
72dpi size and each picture needs to be no larger than
500 pixels wide. If you don't know how to adjust
the size of images in your camera before you take
pictures that you know will be place on the Internet,
then you will need to resize them in a image editor.
An excellent free image editor is "Paint.net" This
is an excellent free image editor. It is not a large
file and works great...

PDF files: If you are sending us a pdf
file be sure it is not locked so we can copy the
information from it. If it is locked we will request the
information in another format.
Scanned copies of any
kind, or of Yellow page notes or any kind of hand
written notes. A scanned copy of a paper with
typing or handwriting on it is simply a picture of the
paper. So we cannot copy and paste.
TEXT INFORMATION MUST BE typed out in
a word document or in your email or
we will have to charge you
to "Re-type the information"
Regular Free (No Cost
Updates)

Time Frame for Regular Free Updates:
One of the reasons why so many of you chose to go with
us is because of the low prices and extra service like
the Free Updates. However, We can no longer guarantee
that your regular updates be completed within 24 - 48
hours. We on occasion do experience a high volume of
update requests and it's simply a matter of first come
first serve. Regular updates although are important, we
can not afford to continue to do updates exclusively all
week long as we are a small company. So the new
anticipated turn-a-round time is 48-72 hours best case
scenario. And, there is no guarantee for this
anticipated turn-a-round time.

Image Editing & Typing Services:
If you cannot or choose not to follow our
guidelines as outlined above, then we can
accommodate your image editing and typing needs for a
$15 per hour fee with a minimum of a 1 hour charge.
Preferred Client
Update Service (Fee Based)

For those of you that absolutely have to
have your updates done within a time frame and are not
flexible within the Regular fee update terms above, we
have another solution for you.

You can have all updates all year long
take priority over all other "Regular Free" update
clients. However, this is a fee based service and you
will have two options...

Pay a "Yearly Preferred Client
Update Service" Fee of $199 per year... That's the
equivalent of $16.58 per month or...

Pay an hourly rate of $15 per hour for
your updates. There is a minimum charge of one hour and
the fee is due immediately upon posting of the updates.
