We are now happy to announce that all clients of Discovery Towers Multimedia Web Services can now have access to their own Control Panel for basic updates.

This is a big step forward for many clients that wish to do their own immediate updates… Simply log into your control panel via http://www.yourdomainname.com/cpanel, insert your username and password and go to "File Manager"

There is a html editor for you to use. If you have no experience in using an html editor, please contact us for assistance at 866-643-6310

Special Note: We know that many of you would like to do their own updates and that's very admirable that you want to. However, if you have never had any experience using a html editor, then we are not liable for your making a mistake and erasing your webpage or even website. Although the editor that is provided is a basic lite editor, if you don't know what you are doing, you can erase a lot of what we have done for you. You can delete content unintentionally, you can cause misalignments and you can even accidentally cause your site to "Not Work".

So with that said, We will provide you if you have no previous experience with a basic walk-through for free. However, if you make a mistake and we have to get in there and "Fix" what you did, it's ok… However there will be a charge to fix it. 

EFFECTIVE August 14, 2010:  Although we do provide LIMITED FREE UPDATE SERVICES which still applies to new clients. We do have a new HOURLY RATE OF $70.00.  This only pertains to updates that require at least an hour or more of work. Usually if an update takes less that 20 minutes or so, there is no charge

HOW TO GET A DISCOUNTED RATE…

In order to get a discounted rate, if you pay the fee within

1. 3 days of receiving the invoice, you get a 50% discount
2. 4-5 day of receiving the invoice, you get a 25% discount
3. 6 plus days of receiving the invoice, the fee will NOT BE DISCOUNTED!

This is our incentive to you, to pay on time and in an efficient manner. You have every right to expect an update to be done in a reasonable time and we too have the same expectations of receiving payments for rendered services. You can look at our discounted rate schedule as an opportunity to get services at up to 50% discount if paid within 3 days of receiving your invoice.

If you take longer to pay, it will simply cost you more and you will have to pay our full hourly rate.

 

 

Priority Updates! (Optional)

 

Our previous "Free Update Service" that comes with every package is now being changed to our Regular Free Update (No Fee) service and we are now introducing a NEW "Preferred Client" (Fee Based) update service.

 

Often we get a client that will call us or send an email and request that an update be made "Now or Immediately" and in some instances we are happy to accommodate as long as we have the time. However, often we do experience a rather high amount of these kinds of requests… "Everybody wants there updates immediately and done yesterday"..

Lets establish some basic GUIDELINES for All Updates first so we are all on the same page from now on...

 

1. All updates must be submitted via our update form located at http://www.discoverytowers.com/update so there is a clear written record of the request.
   
2. All updates must clearly identify the page you wish to make the update(s) on.

1. Images/photos must be sent to us in 72dpi size and each picture needs to be no larger than 500 pixels wide. If you don't know how to adjust the size of images in your camera before you take pictures that you know will be place on the Internet, then you will need to resize them in a image editor. An excellent free image editor is "Paint.net" This is an excellent free image editor. It is not a large file and works great…

2. PDF files: If you are sending us a pdf file be sure it is not locked so we can copy the information from it. If it is locked we will request the information in another format.
   
3. Scanned copies of any kind, or of Yellow page notes or any kind of hand written notes. A scanned copy of a paper with typing or handwriting on it is simply a picture of the paper. So we cannot copy and paste. TEXT INFORMATION MUST BE typed out in a word document or in your email or we will have to charge you to "Re-type the information"

Regular Free (No Cost Updates)

 

1. Time Frame for Regular Free Updates: One of the reasons why so many of you chose to go with us is because of the low prices and extra service like the Free Updates. However, We do not guarantee that your regular updates be completed within 24 – 48 hours. We on occasion do experience a high volume of update requests and it's simply a matter of first come first serve.  We suggest that you provide us your updates as early as possible so you will not miss any deadlines that usually come with those updates.

3. Image Editing & Typing Services: If you cannot or choose not to follow our guidelines as outlined above, then we can accommodate your image editing and typing needs for a $70 per hour fee with a minimum of a 1 hour charge. (PLEASE SEE OUR DISCOUNTED RATES ABOVE)

Preferred Client Update Service (Fee Based)
