WordPress Shopping Cart

WordPress shopping cart is actually a very seo friendly cart but has one significant limitation that we see and many users find unacceptable is that it only provides a single column of products with descriptions. This reduces the friendly experience of the consumer as they have to either scroll down the page a lot or have to click to see additional pages making it cumbersome for the consumer.

Often we as website owners don’t understand the psychology behind these carts and won’t realize it until it’s too late and money and time is spent on a “not current” shopping cart platform, and unfortunately, wordpress has not kept up in the ecommerce arena simply because their focus is “Blogging”. Although many webmasters out there are rapidly understanding the capability of the wordpress blogging platform to be very applicable to web development with a nice CMS system.

Most all of the current updated wordpr1open-source shopping carts have the ability to have multiple columns for their products making for a more dynamic and friendly shopping experience for the consumer.

At one time, there were just a few of us webmasters that understood the power of wordpress and the dynamic capability it offered, which included a way easily incorporate the other open-source shopping carts to work with wordpress.  Today, WordPress is the latest trend and is a very common “Buzz” word going on.  And rightly so… it’s a great platform to work in.

Although these other carts are not plug-ins for wordpress they are easily integrated into the website. How this works is simple. We highly recommend “OpenCart” as it too is very user friendly and super SEO friendly and is a good fit for wordpress.

The “Open Cart” shopping cart is a website in and of itself. Most website owners don’t really realize this but if you use it with wordpress then its as easy as incorporating the main custom design into both the wordpress and shopping cart applications.

Each application has there own “CMS” system so that means that if you want to change content within the actual wordpress pages you enter through the wordpress admin area. If you want to add and/or edit products or anything within the shopping cart, it too has it’s very own admin and access area.

Don’t let the idea of having two separate admin dashboards/control panels intimidate you. They are both very user friendly and once you get the hang of each you’ll move through your site and shopping cart with ease.

Of course we offer services that can simply do just about anything you want within wordpress including setting up the wordpress shopping cart plug-in or integrate our favorite “OpenCart” shopping cart. If you haven’t yet, just click on any of the screenshots on this page to see existing wordpress sites and/or carts.
